At Robert C. Parker School, parents are involved in the life of the school in many ways.

All parents are members of the Parent Council. Parents Council meets regularly to coordinate several fund raising and educational events each year. Through Fall Festival, pizza lunches, and Original Works, funds are raised to support Shakespeare Week, Faculty and Staff Appreciation Lunch, Read Across America Day, and Field Day. Parent Council organizes discussions and forums on topics of interest. They also coordinate room parents.

Parents are called on to drive to field trips, to read in the classroom, and to share their areas of expertise in classes or at assembly.

Parent volunteers chair the Annual Fund and the Scholarship Auction. Buddy Families help new families get acquainted. On Family Work Days, parents, students, teachers, and trustees join together to paint, spread mulch, and wash windows. Parents serve on our Board of Trustees, planning and acting strategically to assure the school’s future.
